Foreign Students

Foreign students are to be foreigners who come to Japan in order to be educated and entered the university, and who are given visas with student status which are stipulated by "Immigration Control and Refugee-Recognition Act".

Classification of Foreign students

1. Japanese Government Scholarship Students

Japanese Government Scholarship Students are to study and research in Japanese universities or institutes by Japanese Government (the Ministry of Education) Scholarship under Japanese Government Scholarship operation gist.

2. Private-Expenses Foreign Students

Private-Expenses Foreign Students are the students other than Japanese Government Scholarship Students, who are classified into the students dispatched by foreign governments and private-expenses students.

Besides the programs mentioned above, there is an in-service training teachers' program.
