Programe

Wednesday 3rd June First groups to arrive at Ange. Short reception at Bobergsskolan. Host families to meet their guests. Short welcoming speech by our head teacher. Members of staff will be take to Angstromsgarden and students to their host fajilies.
Thursday 4th Photo: Camping Short welcoming speech by Lillemor Andersoon, head teacher of Bobergsskolan.
Camping in the wilderness. Simple "getting to know each other" games. Environmental issues. Tests of the water quality. Global Classroom Discussion
Friday 5th Camping as above
Saturdau 6th Soft ball tournament in Ange. Swedish rules. The Global Classroom have their won qualifying tournament. The best Global Classroom team will then participate in the final round of the tournament. Party or fishing in the evening.
Sunday 7th Bus trip to House of Adventure at Bodaborg. Activities in international groups. Stop at the geographical centre of Sweden. Guides from our school. Dinner at host families.
Monday 8th A day at school with hosts. Inauguration of the Conference at the town square to enable everybody to take part. Fashion show by the design students of Bobergsskolan.Short speeches. The mayor of Ange and the county governor will speak. Music and dance. A disco will be arranged at hotel Mittlandia.
Tuesday 9th First Discussion (Democracy) Group work .An evening with local music at the town hall. Global Classroom Meeting to discuss:South Africa 1999, Global Classroom Ambasaddor, Extended Student Exchange and Japan 2000.
Wednesday 10th
Morning:
Theme Equality based on films that the schools have made. Staff Co-ordinators Meeting to discuss Global Classroom:Administration & Finance

 

Dance2DanceAfternoon:
Local development. Each national group to introduce their community's past - present and future. A short introduction in orienteering. An international music , dance and games at Bobergsskolan. A smorgasbord with typical Swedish food is planned. Global Classroom Meeting to discuss:Extended Student Exchange Programme
Thuesday 11th
Morning:
Environmental issues: problems, recycling. Study visits to the following areas: Forestry,Chemical Industry, Waste management and recycling, Electrical energy,Wood products. Mr.Yoshida's Presentation on Information technology.
Afternoon:
Staff will be guided by members of the country council to Health Care Center and School for Adult Education in Fransta.
Friday 12th Last day at school for our third year students. Day of Excursion. Lions Club Visit to Gaveln. An evening in Ange, celebrating the school leaving day.
Saturday 13th Day with host families/staff from Bobergsskolan. Ange Community Dinner.
Sunday 14th A Formal end of the GC conference 1998. Staff spend morning with Jonas Angstrom. Boat trip on lake.
Monday 15th June Leaving Ange.
