Center Branch Office (Higashiyoshino village)
The following researches are carried out at
the Center branch office established in Higashi-Yoshino village.
(1) Global solar irradiance, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, acid rain, temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind velocity, etc.
(2) Research of the ecology and physiology of the mutual relationships between river fishes, aquatic insects, algae, etc.
(3) Measurement of inner-forest carbon dioxide, spectroscopic measurements of various plant species, the creation of a database concerning matter and energy cycles for comparison with satellite data.

by proceeding with the following activities.

training for junior high school and high school students,

(2) Cooperation with local autonomy and forestry corporation,
and hosting symposia and nature observation meetings to study
with the local populace
